Intro: Who am I and What is This?
Welcome! As you may have figured out from the name of this blog, my name is Willa and I love math. I wanted a spot where I could post longer form rambles than my various social media allow, and more importantly a place that could accurately display LaTeX (a typesetting language that makes mathematics much nicer to look at).
I made the site logo by plotting a heart curve in wxMaxima then applying a fractal deformation and additional flourishes in GIMP. The equation in the logo is for one sort of heart curve, although the one I actually plotted might have been the one below. (I made the logo a month or two ago so I can't quite recall which I used.)
